"I love being here in the conference too, I like everything that encompasses the essence of sport. I love tennis and I must say that in recent times the desire has returned, the flame inside me has been rekindled and I can't wait to go down on the court the flame has been rekindled, for me getting on the pitch is always a lot of fun and now I'm finally having fun again."
In recent times Emma Raducanuhas had to deal with several injuries, but we saw her play a good tournament and she finally returned to play, between Nottingham and Eastbourne. Right in Eastbourne, in the words shared above, the Briton explained how the flame is lit again, analyzing her tennis.
In the same interview, she said: "I'm grateful to feel these sensations again, it hasn't happened to me in years and despite the changes I'm excited because I'm playing my tennis again. At a certain point I asked myself: Why? What's happening? ' and I struggled to find answers. Now I don't think about the results but only about having fun and even in training I'm more relaxed."
Over the course of these months Emma has had several surgeries, she has played little and always with highs and many lows.
"Today I play just thinking about the way I train, I play and I just think about all the good things that have happened to me and are happening to me in these years. This makes me play with serenity," she explained.
Recently Emma clarified the reason for her refusal to be a wildcard for the next Olympics, an event which will therefore not see her as a protagonist.
"If I am fit and give 100% I have the knowledge that great things can come, but at the moment I feel that I cannot afford to put any further stress on my body and take any further risks, especially given my recent history with injuries," she analyzed.
When she plays on the grass she finally feels like she is home and so she can only express her most radiant smile. The British tennis player continues her journey towards Wimbledon, her goal is to become competitive again and finally return to playing tennis. The victory at the 2021 US Open is a distant memory, Emma has now left the Top 150 and is struggling to dream of returning to express her tennis. Despite this, the British tennis player always has a smile on her face and she did so too in the last conference, directly in Eastbourne.
