Following his absence from WWE after WrestleMania 39, Shane McMahon has maintained a low profile in the wrestling world. However, recent rumors have sparked speculation that he might be considering a debut in AEW. In light of these rumors, Tony Khan has now addressed the situation.
While speaking onGrilling JR, Jim Ross co-host Conrad Thompson revealed that he received text from friend claimingShane McMahon had reached out to AEW talentsabout potentially joining the promotion.
It was then reported that there was no truth to Shane McMahon speaking to talent about joining AEW and even Tony Khan himself made it clear he had never met or even spoken to Shane McMahon.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, the AEW President was asked about the rumors of Shane McMahon joining AEW. Khan reiterated that he has never met McMahon but made it clear that Shane McMahon is welcome to join AEW.
At this point, it appears highly unlikely that Shane McMahon will ever make his way to AEW, but as Tony Khan has clearly left the door open for a potential debut, anything can happen.
