During the June 24 edition of Monday Night RAW, the former NFL Player was notably missing, and Michael Cole advised viewers not to overthink his absence. It was later reported that Pat McAfee was absent due to a legitimate last-minute family emergency.
McAfee revealed the heartbreaking news that his father-in-law passed away unexpectedly after battling an infection in a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and outlined the entire events that led to the tragic incident.
On the other hand, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Pat McAfees original plans for RAW before his absence were revealed. It stated that McAfee was supposed to be part of The Wyatt Sicks angle after teases done on RAW as well as his show, The Pat McAfee Show, which was heavily speculated to be the reason for his absence until the McAfees statement came out.
While Pat and his family are surely going through a tough state at the moment, we will have to wait and see when he returns to RAW and if WWE chooses to go ahead with their original plans for McAfee regarding the Wyatt Sicks angle.
