Former MLW Heavyweight ChampionJacob Fatu signed with WWEearlier this year and made a significant debut on the June 21st episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Fans were surprised to see his name didnt get changed and now it appears WWE did have another name planned for Fatu.

On the June 21st edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Jacob Fatu made an impactful debut as he brutally destroyed Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and then sent Cody Rhodes through the announcers table with a huge splash, making it clear he was there to cause chaos.

Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that with Jacob Fatu debuting under his own name and WWE subsequently taking out trademark for it, he will not be using the name Caesar Sikoa. Originally, WWE had considered the name Caesar Sikoa for Fatu, but ultimately decided to keep his real name, which is unusual given WWEs history of changing wrestlers names for trademark purposes.

This decision reflects a shift in WWEs current regime, which is less inclined to rename established wrestlers compared to Vince McMahons approach. McMahon preferred changing names to ensure full ownership and to prevent departing wrestlers from using their WWE names elsewhere. The current regime, however, appears to favor giving stage names to newcomers but allows established names to retain their identities.

Despite Jacob Fatu not having been in AEW, NJPW, or TNA, and being primarily known to indie and MLW fans, WWEs decision to keep his name is surprising. The company did trademark Caesar Sikoa last week, and although it wont be used for Fatu, it could potentially be assigned to another wrestler in the future.

With The Bloodline 2.0 gaining significant momentum, fans simply cant wait to see how Fatu will impact the storyline and contribute to the factions dominance in WWE, as there is a world of possibilities with The Bloodline now.
