Chris Jericho made a dramatic return to CMLL on the June 28th edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular under the alias Corazon De Leon, creating a significant impact. During the event, Jericho attacked Mstico immediately after Mstico waved to the fans. Jericho appeared in the ring wearing a disguised Mstico mask, only to reveal his true identity to the shocked audience at Arena Mexico.
Following this surprise, Jericho delivered a promo in Spanish, boldly proclaiming himself as the greatest of all time. He criticized Mstico, suggesting Mstico had the heart of a mouse, and then issued a challenge to Mstico for a match anytime, anywhere. Mstico accepted the challenge, with the condition that their encounter would take place at Arena Mexico.
This marked Jerichos first appearance in CMLL in nearly three decades, since his unsuccessful challenge for the CMLL World Heavyweight Title against Apolo Dantes on September 19, 1995, at Arena Coliseo in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Regardless, well have to see how his match against Mstico will turn out, as fans were shocked to see Jericho back in CMLL again.
