Deonna Purrazzo signed with AEW in January 2024 and made her debut as a signed talent on the January 3rd edition of AEW Dynamite. She immediately inserted herself into the womens division by targeting Mariah May and setting her sights on the AEW Womens World Title. Currently, she is involved in a heated feud with Thunder Rosa that spans multiple AEW programs.
In a recent interview with Bodyslam.net, Deonna went into detail about the importance of storytelling in womens wrestling. She emphasized the need for time to develop and let stories breathe, allowing fans to engage with the characters and narratives.
Deonna talked about the diversity of ongoing stories in AEWs womens division, including her feud with Thunder Rosa, the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, upcoming matches like Toni Storm vs. Mina at Forbidden Door, and various other storylines involving talents like Mercedes Mone and Stephanie Vaquer.
Purrazzo is set for action on the June 29th edition of AEW Collision and she will continue to be one of AEWs most dependable stars whenever possible, so well have to see how she remains booked in the coming weeks.
