On the same day that the 2024 Wimbledon draw was held, title holder Carlos Alcaraz explained his goals for the third Grand Slam of the year that kicks off Monday, July 1 at Wimbledon.
As tradition Carlos Alcaraz, reigning champion will play the first match on the Central Field in the first day. After an untimely defeat at Queens, in which he was beaten in the round of 16 by Draper, Alcaraz is aiming for an encore after last years victory in the final against Novak Djokovic.
The 2024 Roland Garros champion certainly can not complain about the draw since he avoided several loose mines not included between the seeders and his path at least on paper seems to be much easier than that of his two main rivals, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.
Carlos Alcaraz is motivated
Carlos Alcaraz - after winning the Roland Garros- explained to the media that the problem with the forearm that strongly affected him in the first part of the season on clay seems to be definitely overcome.
