We have a lot of work in the last few days and Im ready to compete. I am lucky because tennis was a hobby for me at first and now it has become a job. In my mind, though, it is still a hobby.
I love to go out and play. I know how many sacrifices I made to find myself in this position. Its always an honor to take the field and I never take anything for granted," Sinner explained in a press conference. " Im glad to be back here, the beginning of a very special tournament is approaching.
Im happy with how I played last week, Im trying to find a good shape on these courts to be ready. Having more confidence in yourself helps a lot, especially on the grass. Last week was important to me.
In 2023 I reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon, so I know I can play great tennis on this surface," Sinner explained in a press conference before focusing on the uniqueness of Grand Slam tournaments and five-set matches.
"Playing the best of the five sets is fun, because you have more opportunities to change the dynamics of a game. There are obviously more emotions but also physical problems. I think its nice to see how a tennis player reacts in these cases.
Playing five sets is part of tennis history. At the Olympics, for example, you will play the best of the three sets and anything can happen.
