What Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic did was legendary. Never in the history of sport have we witnessed something like this. Felix Auger-Aliassime opened up in an interview with Tennis365 to talk, among the various topics touched, about the Big 3 and the Next Generation. The Canadian first focused on the players who have dominated the Tour for around twenty years, analyzing:

"All three are fantastic in their own way. As for who is harder to deal with, it depends on the surface and a few factors. Roger was the one who could take you out in an hour and you felt like you hadn't even played that badly. Then you see Rafa on clay, that is the biggest challenge that exists in our sport. I also love his mentality, everyone should aspire to him. We are lucky to have these three great champions in our sport, but I love Federer, he is pure class, an incredible guy both on and off the court. I had the opportunity to talk to him a few times outside and he was always very kind to me. Then, when he met my family, he proved that he is a real person. He remembered everyone when he met them."

Auger-Aliassime then focused on the rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, which should ferry tennis from the Big 3 Era to the Next Gen Era.

"You could say that the situation is now quite open on the tour, after this period where three or four players dominated so much. At the same time we have two guys who are separating themselves from the rest of the group. All credit to Carlos and Jannik, because they played incredible tennis and it's up to us to catch them. Alcaraz is something of a prodigy and Sinner's progression has been fantastic. He is a credit to his team and to everyone around him," he told.
