Stefanos Tsitsipas shares that he and Paula Badosa mutually agreed to keep their relationship more private after their reunion but also to do some new things as a couple and not let themselves get overwhelmed by tennis stuff.

In early 2023 June, Tsitsipas and Badosa confirmed their relationship in a very creative but also flashy way by launching an Instagram account "Tsitsidosa." In the period that followed, the tennis couple regularly posted about their activities from on and off the court, which only drew more attention to their relationship.

In the first several months of their relationship, Tsitsipas and Badosa numerous times spoke extremely highly of each other as the Greek often described the Spaniard as "a soulmate" and someone who made him feel something he never felt before.

But then in early May, Badosa shocked the tennis community when she announced through a message posted on her Instagram Story that she and Tsitsipas were done as a couple.

However, that didn't last long since Tsitsipas and Badosa were spotted together in Monte Carlo just days before the French Open. And when they came to Roland Garros, they confirmed that they were back as a couple.

Tsitsipas details how his relationship with Badosa looks now

Since playing tennis is something they do for a living, Tsitsipas acknowledges that they can't escape talking about the game or doing tennis-related things. But when they have a chance to do something non-tennis related and forget about their job for a few hours, they prefer to do that.

Its kind of well-balanced I would say. We do talk about tennis as a normal - I mean, thats our job at the end of the day. But we have other interests away from tennis too and that keeps us pretty sane, I would say. We have other things that I would try and do or other activities that kind of entertain us and make us feel like a union when we are away from the tennis courts," Tsitsipas told Express-Sport.

"Like now, during our short vacation or break that we had after Roland Garros, we went to Greece and we started getting into pottery so we started picking up all of those activities that, its kind of fun I would say, Its something that we never did and doing it together, it helps us expand and see a different perspective of life so we are very open-minded to these kinds of things."

What happened in May between Tsitsipas and Badosa?

When announcing the split, Badosa said she and Tsitsipas respectfully agreed to part ways and that they would remain friends. But then, tennis fans spotted that the Spanish tennis star unfollowed the Greek after the news dropped.

Then in one of his interviews, Tsitsipas suggested that Badosa was the right person for him but that their relationship came at the wrong time. Meanwhile, Badosa indicated in one of her interviews that it wasn't easy to navigate between pro and love life even said that their relationship reminded her of Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov.

After those comments, Tsitsipas and Badosa met again and the reunion happened. And at the French Open, the Greek tennis star decided to tell his side of the story so the media would not speculate anything.

We are together. Im going to explain why some people create different stories about us, Tsitsipas said at Roland Garros when confirming his reunion with Badosa.

Its not that I care, but I dont think people should take it like that. Paula didnt do anything wrong and neither did I. It was hard for us to be apart and I was also going through difficult times.

I would say that I didnt take it very well either, because I felt the pressure of the tour, of my work. It seemed like a mountain to combine the two things (tennis and romantic life) and I made the decision to take a break.

After two or three weeks I realized that she is a person who has supported me a lot and, when she tried to talk to me again, I felt how intense the love we have for each other is."

When Badosa was asked to comment on getting back with Tsitsipas, she said that her boyfriend already explained everything in his press conference.

At the French Open, Tsitsipas and Badosa were scheduled to play in the mixed doubles event but ended up pulling out after rain delayed their match several times.

So far, Tsitsipas and Badosa haven't been confirmed as a mixed doubles duo at Wimbledon but there is still a chance their name appears there on July 3rd when the draw is scheduled to be released.
