Between one tournament and another (especially if there is a switch between one surface and another) many tennis players try to relax from the fatigue and stress of the weeks on Tour, perhaps by treating themselves to a vacation, like American Emma Navarro did before her grass-swing. Emma and her family spent a beautiful vacation in Greece, underlined by the former tennis player as the highlight of her European season, as she herself said in an interview with Tennis Channel.

"Going to Greece was amazing. We got to do some great biking, we did a 50-mile bike ride before we got up, I felt like Lance Armstrong or something. And then we did some hiking, some kayaking. So that was definitely the highlight of my European summer! I took a little break in Greece with my family after the French Open, and that was really great. Because wanting to be able to spend some time with my family away from tennis is really special and that's the time I cherish the most," she said.

Navarro spent the vacation in Greece with her parents. Her father is billionaire Ben Navarro, founder of the Sherman Financial Group, an investment firm that also owns Credit One Bank, which organizes the Credit One Charleston Open.
We recall in this grass season Navarro, after a 1st round loss in Berlin, reached her fourth WTA semifinal of the year in Bad Homburg, where she surrendered to Diana Shnaider. Earlier this season, at the WTA 250 in Hobart, Emma defeated No. 1 seed Elise Mertens 6-1 4-6 7-5 to claim her first career WTA title. The result also saw her break into the top 30 for the first time in her career; a result that was further improved by her career-high ranking of No. 17 in June. At the Wimbledon 3rd round she will meet again Diana Shnaider, after the semifinal at Bad Homburg, after beating Naomi Osaka in the 2nd round.
