Novak Djokovic suffered more than expected against Jacob Fearnley. The Serbian legend started the match on top and he won the first two sets without much trouble on the score of 6-3 6-4.
The third set was another dynamic and although Djokovic seemed to make it to an easy win in three sets, the Briton, Galvanized by the unconditional support of the local crowd managed to recover and win the third act on the score of 7-5.
The last set of the match could have tipped the whole game in favor of Fearnley but the experience of Djokovic and the stress of his young rival ended up ending the match in favor of the world number two on the final score of 6-3 6-4 5-7 7 7-5.

Novak Djokovic struggled more than expected to reach the third round at Wimbledon, proving to be still far from the best condition.
During the press conference post-match, Jacob Fearnley commented on his performance against Djokovic: I tried to subtract as much as I could and I helped myself from the wind on some sides. I had come a couple of times before. I knew I could be in the game and when the break came, my confidence grew and I played great tennis.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion was not sure to play in London: "I wasnt thinking about Wimbledon after the surgery.
In the first days I could not put weight on my right leg and until three days before the tournament I did not know what to do," explained Djokovic. "Wimbledon is Wimbledon, a dream tournament for all players. If it wasnt Wimbledon, I wouldnt have pushed so hard. I wanted to understand how you were and it went well".
The former world number 1 hopes to win his eighth title at Wimbledon and match Roger Federers record. Last year, Nole was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
