The first round of the BMW International Open concluded at the Mnchen Eichenried Golfclub in Munich, which is the last stage of the European Swing at DP World Tour altitude and will define the five qualifiers for the Royal Troon Open Championship (18-21 July ) from the Race to Dubai.
At the moment the Australian David Micheluzzi is in the lead, the only one to score a -6 this day on the Bavarian par 72 (seven birdies and a bogey for him).

Behind him are poker seconds, with the South African Casey Jarvis, the USA (illustrious) Patrick Reed, the Scotsman Ewen Ferguson and the Englishman Frank Kennedy, all one stroke away.
-4 and sixth place, however, for the other American Jordan Gumberg, the South African Darren Fichardt, the English Joe Dean, the Aussie Thomas Power Horan, the French Romain Langasque and the Dutch Joost Luiten. He himelf was the great protagonist of the last few days: excluded from Paris 2024 by his own Olympic Committee, he appealed to a judge in Arnhem who imposed his reinstatement in the five-circle frameworks, under penalty of a significant financial drain if of failure to comply with the order.
Although there are not, at least for now, the high-sounding results of the last two weeks, Italy often smiles. 30th place with a score of -2 for Edoardo Molinari, Francesco Laporta and above all Gregorio De Leo, who is thus giving continuity to his great Italian Open.
54th position, however, for Guido Migliozzi, Lorenzo Scalise, Renato Paratore and Filippo Celli, all at -1 in this decidedly short ranking. Andrea Pavan, in fact, is 108th at +1; the situation of Matteo Manassero is more complex, 140th at +3 after not one of his best days.
Founded in 1989, it was held near BMW's home city of Munich every year until 2012. From 1989 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2011 it was played at the Golfclub Mnchen Eichenried while from 1994 to 1996 it was held at St. Eurach Land-und-Golfclub.
In 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, the event was played at Golf Club Gut Lrchenhof near Cologne, alternating with Golfclub Mnchen Eichenried, which hosted the event in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. The event was for a time the only European Tour event played in Germany, until the Porsche European Open moved to Germany in 2015.
