AEW brought the 2024 All Out event to the NOW Arena on August 7, where several championships were up for grabs, including the AEW International Championship in a showdown between Will Ospreay and PAC.
The lead-up to this highly anticipated match began on the July 10 episode of Dynamite, when PAC earned his shot at the AEW International Championship by defeating Claudio Castagnoli, Kyle Fletcher, and Tomohiro Ishii in Global Glory Four-Way match. The following week, Ospreay lost the title to MJF, who briefly rebranded it as the American Championship. However, at All In, Ospreay regained the belt, restoring it as the International Championship and setting the stage for his defense against PAC at All Out.
This match was the third of the night, and both competitors wasted no time getting into the action. Ospreay entered with his shoulders taped up, showing signs of wear and tear from previous battles, while Ricochet was seen watching the action backstage.
The action quickly spilled outside the ring, where Ospreay took control with a Sasuke Special. Once back in the ring, PAC managed to turn the tide, landing a DDT and a Liger Bomb, but Ospreay resiliently kicked out.
PAC blocked an Ozcutter attempt and dodged a Hidden Blade, but Ospreay showcased his agility, landing on his feet after a throw and hitting an Ozcutter for a near fall.
As the match progressed, PAC hit a poisonrana on the apron before locking in his Brutalizer submission hold, but even that wasnt enough to close out the match.
Ospreay finally connected with the Hidden Blade, only for PAC to kick out at two. PAC then stopped Ospreay on the top rope, climbing up to meet him, but Ospreay again landed on his feet after a move and nearly pinned PAC for another close two-count.
In the final moments of the match, Ospreay hit an Ozcutter from the top rope, but PAC reversed it into a two-count. Ospreay then executed a Styles Clash followed by a Hidden Blade to secure the victory.
