Gilbert Arenas is sick to death of the criticism surrounding Russell Westbrook and hes letting everyone know.

On his show,Arenas highlighted the popular trend of dismissing Westbrooks historic triple-double record and haters are undermining his talent and trying to diminish the legacy hes built.

Russ holds the record for the most triple-doubles in NBA history and Arenas says people are quick to forget.

Its weird because its like they were trying to discredit his triple-doubles because it was too easy for him, said Arenas on Gils Arena. Hes changing history and when motherf*****s have heroes its hard for them to let go sometimes and I think while trying to say These stats aint real you became disrespectful to the man who was doing it. These same people who are voting [for MVP] got your legacy in their hands, so if you dont kiss their asses they f*ck with your legacy. And thats the bug problem with sports.

Before the season has even begun, the disrespect of Westbrook has well and truly begun.

ESPN football commentator recently roasted Russ, to the point where Westbrooks wife Nina made a public comment about it.

Then only this week, Russ career three-point shooting percentage became a talking point on Brian Windhorsts podcast, The Hoop Collective.

It led to Windhorst saying, I wouldnt let him shoot anymore threes ever even quite honestly.

Last season for the Clippers, Westbrook shot 27.3 percent from three-point range and 45.4 percent from the field.

He will be looking to improve upon that when he suits up for the Nuggets for the first time in his career in 2024-25.

Overall, Russ has a 30.4 percent shooting record in his career.
