Steph De Lander, known for her talent and dedication in the indie wrestling scene, was released by WWE in 2022. Following her departure, she became a prominent figure in TNA Wrestling. However, she recently announced that she needs neck surgery, which will likely keep her out of action for several months.
At TNA Victory Road 2024 in San Antonio, Texas, the anticipated tag team match between Rhino & PCO and Matt Cardona & Steph De Lander took an emotional turn before it even began. Steph De Lander stepped up to the microphone and shared with the sold-out audience that she would be undergoing neck surgery due to ongoing pain.
As the crowd reacted, De Lander remained composed and ended her speech with a heartfelt message, saying, This isnt goodbye, its see you later, a nod to the iconic words spoken by Sting during his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2016.
TNA Wrestling has since provided an update on her recovery time on Twitter. Gia Miller announced in a video after Victory Road that, pending her neck surgery, De Lander is expected to be out of action for approximately six to ten months.
We had already reported that her need for neck surgery was legitimate and not part of a storyline. Regardless, Steph De Lander will be out of action well into 2025 and fans will simply hope for her speedy recovery until then.
