The pro wrestling world has many legends who could draw fans to an event. It really helps if that person has a lot of nostalgia associated with their name, and the NWA just locked down The Juice for an exciting show this week.
Legendary luchador Juventud Guerrera is set to make his debut on NWA Powerrr, the National Wrestling Alliances flagship show, on September 17. Guerrera is a globally recognized wrestling star, and he will defend his NWA Krossfire Wrestling Championship against The Masked Zyon in what promises to be a thrilling match. The Juice has been featured in the pro wrestling world for years, including a cancelled run in AEW, although he also made it clear that hes not finished in AEW yet.
NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli released a statement as part of a press release about this match. It was stated that the company is more than excited to showcase The Juice on their event, because they are always looking for the biggest names possible.
Juventud Guerrera is a five-time World Cruiserweight Champion, with three runs in WCW and two in WWE. He has a decorated career, to say the least. He is also a former IWGP World Junior Heavyweight Champion and WCW World Tag Team Champion. His appearance on NWA Powerrr marks his first under the NWAs Lightning One era.
In addition to Juventud Guerreras title defense, the September 17 episode of NWA Powerrr will feature three other championship bouts. NWA Womens World Tag Team Champions The King Bees will defend their titles against Ruthie Jay and La Rosa Negra. The NWA Midwest Championship, held by Exodus Pros Pretty Boy Smooth, will be on the line as he takes on Big Strong Mims. Lastly, NWA-Joe Cazana Promotion Southeastern Tag Team Champions The Stew Crew will face off against former NWA U.S. Tag Team Champions The Fixers.
