Stephen Amell became a big name thanks to his role as theGreen Arrow on CWsArrow but fans started loving him more thanks to his role in Heels. With that said, it appears Amell suffered a severe injury while filming Heels.
Heels featuring Stephen Amell, made a significant impact on television in 2021 by offering the storytelling and drama that wrestling fans had been craving and fans couldnt get enough of it.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Stephen Amell revealed that he injured his back on the first day of shooting for Heels. He described how he attempted a coast-to-coast move, but didnt clear the ring as much as he wanted on the first attempt.
On the second try, he overcompensated and landed at a 90-degree angle, which resulted in a compression fracture to his T10 and L1 vertebrae. Amell described the incident as so stupid and so dumb.
Heels was eventually cancelled but has made its way back to Netflix. Depending on the success of the show on Netflix, fans are hopeful for a third season. With the show creator hinting at a possible collaboration with WWE, anything is truly possible for the show now.
