John Cena carried WWE on his back for over a decade and is now more focused on his flourishing career in Hollywood. In fact, The Leader of Cenation is set to star in a Matchbox movie based on classic car toys.

John Cena has impressed fans with his talent and charm, moving from wrestling to acting. He has starred in movies like The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and Fast & Furious, showing how skilled he is as an entertainer and gaining attention outside of WWE.

According to Deadline, Apple Original Films has secured Matchbox, a new live-action film from Skydance and Mattel Films, which will be directed by Sam Hargrave and will star John Cena. The movie is based on Mattels famous die-cast toy car line and will be written by David Coggeshall and Jonathan Tropper.

The Matchbox brand was created in 1953 by Jack Odell, an automotive enthusiast, for his daughter, who could only bring toys to school that fit inside a matchbox. The popularity of these cars has lasted over 70 years, with two Matchbox cars sold every second globally.
