Mariah May has adopted a much more aggressive attitude ever since she berated her former mentor, Timeless Toni Storm. Her personality led her to beat Toni Storm at AEW All In and become the new AEW Womens World Champion.
Amidst her ongoing mean streak, Mariah May declared a few weeks ago that she wanted to see her best friend and popular Japanese sensation, Mina Shirakawa, back in AEW, reunited with her and extended the invitation to her.
On the September 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Mina Shirakawa appeared in a vignette to respond to Mariahs invitation. Mina reflected on their friendship, from their days in Japan to a stint in AEW a few months ago before Mariah May went to pursue the AEW Womens World Title.
Although Mina admitted that she was not in agreement with what Mariah May had become, citing her actions amidst her feud with Toni Storm, she made it clear that Mariah was still her best friend and proclaimed that Mina is coming to AEW, building excitement among fans to see more of the Japanese sensation on AEW television programming.
