Last year, WWE and UFC were brought together under the TKO banner, creating a major shift in the sports entertainment world. As part of ongoing changes, there has been a reduction in WWEs live events. RVD now believes that this trend could continue, potentially leading WWE to evolve into a product focused solely on television in the future.

Since WWEs merger into TKO Group Holdings, several changes have subtly reshaped the promotion, including a clear reduction in live events. While WWE continues to air multiple live TV broadcasts each week, theres been a noticeable decline in their focus on house shows.

While speaking on his 1 Of A Kind podcast, RVD talked about WWE cutting back on live shows and said that if most of their money is coming from TV, there might not be much reason to keep doing live events. He believes WWE could eventually become just a TV show if thats where the money is.

Mark Shapiro explained the reason for WWE cutting down on house shows, which will continue into 2025 as well. Nonetheless, well have to wait and see if WWE will end up doing away with live events for good one day, as the company is clearly making a lot of money from television.

Whats your view on what RVD had to say? Do you feel WWE will eventually become a TV-only product? Sound off in the comments section below!
