Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio is still a very controversial figure in the world of pro wrestling. While he once had a large fan base, he has lost many of his supporters over time. With that said, Del Rio has addressed the possibility of joining AEW.
Alberto Del Rios fall from graceis something fans know all too well bynow.He was facing several charges of assault,but they were dropped in the end.This included the time he was in a relationship with Saraya,which was extremely toxic.
The Mexican Superstar has competed in continues all over the world, including WWE. TNA, AAA, WWC and more, but he has never stepped foot inside an AEW ring. Thats why fans wonder if that is ever going to become a reality.
While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Alberto Del Rio was asked if he has an interest in joining AEW and whether he spoke to Tony Khan. Del Rio stated that he has an interest in meeting Tony Khan to discuss a possible run in AEW.
Del Rio acknowledged Khans role in the wrestling industry and the success hes had with AEW, adding that he would like to exchange ideas and talk about opportunities with him and see where the business takes them.
Alberto Del Rio is currently a big star in AAA, so we will have to wait and see whether Del Rio will ever make his way to AEW somewhere down the line. After all, anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
