Many WWE Superstars have transitioned into the company through their football backgrounds, and the connections run deep. Recently, two WWE representatives made an appearance at a University of Colorado game, ready to capture a memorable photo together.
Bron Breakker and Goldberg connected at the Colorado University game, where Goldbergs son, Gage, plays for Coach Primes team. Goldberg has gotten pretty involved with his sons career, as he has also been spotted at Gages practices, providing him with motivation and support.
WWE proudly shared the photo of Goldberg and Bron Breakker on their social media, showcasing a significant moment that fans would want to see. This was quite a meet up at the University of Colorado game.
Both Bron Breakker and Goldberg share a similar journey from football to the world of professional wrestling. Bron Breakker played college football for the Kennesaw State Owls. As a freshman in 2016, he contributed on special teams and defense, later shifting to the offense as a running back in 2017. He entered the NFL Draft in February 2020 but went undrafted. In April 2020, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent fullback but was released in August.
Goldberg, on the other hand, earned a scholarship to the University of Georgia, where he played college football as a defensive tackle. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL Draft, but never played for them. His NFL debut came with the Atlanta Falcons in 1992, where he played until 1994 and formed a friendship with Deion Sanders. That friendship likely helped his son get to the University of Colorado later on. Goldbergs NFL career ended due to injury, and he made a seamless transition to pro wrestling.
It will be interesting to see if Goldberg and Bron Breakkers paths ever cross in the ring. For now, its clear they share a solid bond on the gridiron.
