Paul Wightreturned to in-ring action on the November 15th episode of AEW Dynamiteduring the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight but was written off AEW television after the match. Wight laterteamed with Chris Jericho in Januarybut has not wrestled since. He still hasnt competed in the ring and made it clear he envisions retiring similar to how Sting retired earlier this year.

Paul Wight thenconfirmed that he had both of his knees and hips replacedand was training for a return. Naturally, fans wondered when the Worlds Largest Athlete would compete again. In the meantime, he did return to ROH television in a new role as well.

In an interview with Fightful, Paul Wight shared his hopes for his final chapter in wrestling as he promoted AEWs upcoming Grand Slam Australia event. He expressed a desire to retire similar to Sting, who enjoyed a series of standout matches before officially stepping away at Revolution 2024.

Wight mentioned hed love to have a brief run, working with AEWs rising stars and delivering memorable matches before stepping away. He added that after achieving that, he might move to New York to become a world-famous playwright.

We will have to wait and see Paul Wightwill make his in-ring return and eventually have an in-ring sendoff similar to Sting, as fans feel that The Worlds Largest Athlete more than deserves it.
