Current AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson made a special request ahead of his AEW All In London match, where he defeated Swerve Strickland to claim the AEW World Championship and keep his career alive. The request? WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on commentary.
During a recent interview on Undisputed, Danielson revealed that he personally asked for Jim Ross to be part of the broadcast for his World Title match, citing their long-standing connection.
Danielson also acknowledged the effort it took for Ross, who has faced health issues, to travel to London, emphasizing how much it meant to have him there.
Following his AEW World Championship win, Danielson successfully defended the title against Jack Perry at AEW All Out. However, the aftermath saw a shocking betrayal from Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli, with Moxley suffocating Danielson with a plastic bag.
Bryan Danielson is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Nigel McGuinness on the September 25th Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.
