Carlos Alcaraz brought the decisive point to the Europe team that beat the World team in the Laver Cup, then expressing joy and satisfaction for the performance against Taylor Fritz. One of the best victories obtained by the young Spaniard in the last period, as underlined by Carlitos himself.

"I'm really happy, obviously our goal was to win the Laver Cup. We did it. It was a great feeling. I'm not going to lie. Celebrating with the other guys on the team is an even better feeling. So personally I'm really happy. After Zverev's match that he did really well it was time for me to do my job. I was a little bit nervous. I tried not to show Taylor that I was nervous but I think I played one of my best matches so far. I tried to be as calm as possible. Obviously having the other guys on the team behind me supporting me, it's something that gives energy and helps you get the best out of it," he analyzed.
Carlitos added: "It's been great for me to spend time here with my teammates, to get to know the person behind the player.
We always play under a lot of pressure, people who only see us in the match tend to think and judge what they see. But behind everyone there are great people and getting to know each other more off the court has been great."

Alcaraz then analyzed his performances during the North American Tour on hard courts, culminating with the 2nd round loss at the US Open, underlining how it was a very difficult period for him.
"I hope now to be able to play the rest of the year just like I did against Fritz. I think it was one of my best matches in recent times. I want to continue with this aggressive tennis, go to the net and be the one who dictates the pace of the match. I had difficult moments on the American tour because I didn't find my level and the necessary consistency, but now I feel good."
