Artem Chigvintsev, recognized for his work on Dancing With The Stars and his marriage to former WWE star Nikki Bella, made headlines after his arrest for domestic battery. However, it has been determined that he will not face any criminal charges.
As reported earlier, Nikki Bella filed for divorce from Artem, andshe is seeking full custody of their son. In response to her divorce petition, Artem has officially filed forjoint custody of his son.
According to ABC7News, Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley announced on Tuesday that her office will not file charges against Artem Chigvintsev after completing a criminal investigation and carefully evaluating the evidence.
In a press release, Haley stated that while they take every arrest seriously and oppose domestic violence, they have a duty to file charges only when there is sufficient evidence. She explained that they must prove any criminal charge beyond a reasonable doubt, which is the highest standard in the U.S. legal system. If the evidence does not meet this standard, they cannot ethically proceed with charges.
Even Brie Bella addressed Nikki Bellas current situation as she navigates her divorce with Artem. Regardless, well have to wait and see whether Nikki Bella will issue a statement on this matter eventually.
