However, recent rumors have sparked curiosity regarding his potential involvement with AEW. Shane held a meeting with AEW CEO Tony Khan earlier this year and now McMahons status for AEW Grand Slam has been revealed.
On July 29, 2024, Khan and McMahon had a private meeting at an office near Arlington airport. This was their first direct talk, even though Khan had wanted to meet with McMahon before. They reportedly discussed possible ways to work together, which has led to more rumors about McMahons role in AEW.
