Vince McMahon built a reputation in the wrestling world for working tirelessly and rarely missing a show. Even in his 70s, many wrestlers, employees, and fans believed he would stay with WWE until the end of his life.
The final episode of Vince McMahons documentary focused on his last years with the company, his two resignations, and an ongoing lawsuit from former employee Janel Grant.
During the episode, there was archive footage from WrestleMania 38, where McMahon competed in his last match against Pat McAfee after McAfee defeated Austin Theory. In the clips, McMahon was asked if he ever thought about stepping back or retiring.
McMahon responded that he didnt see himself retiring and expressed confusion about why people would want to stop growing, saying that when you stop growing, you die. He added that he had no sympathy for those who want to retire, telling them to go die.
Vince McMahon even tried to destroy the Netflix documentary by attempting to purchase it, to no avail. Regardless, McMahons thoughts on how people live their lives will likely incite more outrage from fans and critics alike and nothing can be done about that.
