Mercedes Mone and Naomi made headlines when they walked out of WWE in 2022, and they were promptly suspended. Only The Glow has returned after they were both granted their releases. Mone is having the time of her life as a double champion in AEW, a role that she fit into well. At this point, shes not sure that a WWE return is in the cards.
Mercedes Mone recently addressed the possibility of returning to WWE, following up on her previous comments. Before making her AEW debut in March, the former Sasha Banks had expressed that she believed she might return to WWE one day.
However, Mone has since shifted her perspective, stating she is now less certain about a WWE return, as her current relationship with AEW is strong.
When asked on the Breakfast Club about the possibility of going back to WWE, Mone said AEW has treated her very well, and she doesnt currently see herself leaving Tony Khans company to return to WWE.
WWE was reportedly speaking to Mercedes Mone about a comeback, but AEW was able to get her to sign the deal. Although specifics of the contract have not been confirmed, it must be a lucrative situation for the CEO. After all, she has her own special treatment backstage, like a private dressing room.
Mercedes Mone brought a lot of attention to herself when she finally debuted for AEW. Some fans were sad that they didnt get to see Sasha Banks return to WWE, and Bayley was one of those people as well. That being said, Bayley and Mone are still close friends. Only time will tell what the road holds for everyone involved.
