In January 2024, he was accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit by Janel Grant, and resigned as TKO Executive Chairman.

During the Netflix docuseries, Vince McMahon sat down for a lengthy interview. That included McMahon admitting that he could never see himself retiring from his former position.

Vince McMahon initially retired from WWE when the hush money scandal first broke, but then he made his return to the company. This moved was to user in a merger between WWE and UFC, but once Janel Grants lawsuit dropped that changed everything.
