Since joining LIV Golf, Rahm has known that his future in the Ryder Cup is uncertain, but he hoped a final agreement between the PGA Tour and PIF would be reached. So far, things havent changed much.
The 29-year-old has decided to appeal to the DP World Tour regarding the fines, which means he can play on the DP World Tour, and likely at Bethpage Black next year.
In a media interview ahead of another appearance, the Spanish golfer reflected on the PGA Tour and PIF, emphasizing that he wants to enjoy playing golf. He hopes that an agreement will allow him to compete on various tours.

When asked if he thinks LIV Golf events should be scheduled in the autumn so that PGA Tour players can participate in both, Rahm strongly disagreed. He believes players should have to make a choice between the two tours. This great golfer stresses that while they are independent contractors, he thinks it would be overwhelming to play in so many events; 20 from one tour, plus another 14, and then the Ryder Cup. He emphasized that this would be a lot of tournaments, especially considering the travel involved, and he doubts anyone would want to take on that commitment.
