WWE only has a few days left before October 5 when Bad Blood will go down in Atlanta with a special start time, and although main event plans are in flux, we have a new title match. This weeks SmackDown certainly set the stage for whats to come, and that included a #1 contender match that will make a new match for that premium live event.

The September 27 WWE SmackDown went down at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During the show, Bayley took on Naomi in a WWE Womens Championship #1 Contenders Match. With the winner getting a shot at Nia Jaxs title, they both wanted it.

With a Bad Blood match at stake, Bayley and Naomi squared off in the first match of the night. These two traded moves early on, and the fans in Oklahoma were excited to see the two veterans wrestle. This match stretched through one commercial break, and they returned to action.

Naomi controlled the action during the break, but Bayley nailed a backspring elbow right before they came back to regain the match. This was followed by Bayley nailing a dive to the outside. Bayley survived a Rear View from Naomi and they carried on.

They started trading shots in the middle of the ring, and Naomi won that exchange with a kick, and then she drove Bayleys head into the mat for another near fall.

Bayley hit a blockbuster for a near fall, and then they continued. This match included several moves in a row with rapid-fire offense, but Naomi was able to kick out again. Naomi avoided a Bayley to Belly, and then she got on the top rope and missed a dive, but then Bayley nailed her finisher and climbed up to the top rope to hit her elbow drop for the win. She will now face Nia Jax for the WWE Womens Title at Bad Blood.

Speaking of the WWE Womens Champion, Nia Jax, she and Tiffany Stratton had a very tense interaction backstage before this match went down. It ended with Jax wrapping her hand around Strattons throat while laying down a very serious threat. It seems that she is not willing to let anything stop her from keeping that title.

Bad Blood will be a packed event in Atlantas State Farm Arena. As of this writing, tickets are still available on TicketMaster.
