Carmelo Hayes ended his run in NXT with a loss to Trick Williamsand wasted no time making an impact onSmackDown during the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft. He has been feuding with Andrade for a while now and picked up a win over him under controversial circumstances, and he has now defended the win.
Andrade and Carmelo Hayes feud on Friday Night SmackDown has been a highlight of the show for a long time now. During theSeptember 27th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, LA Knight interfered in Andrades match against Carmelo Hayes, helping Hayes secure the victory. Andrade and Hayes now each have three wins in their series of matches.
Following his match, Carmelo Hayes spoke to Byron Saxton in an exclusive interview. Saxton stated that Hayes couldnt possibly be happy with how he won the match. Hayes defended his win and made it clear a win is a win in the end and he is determined to become the United States Champion.
We will have to wait and see whether Carmelo Hayes will end up challenging for the United States Championship as well, as fans feel WWE might be planning a triple threat match featuring LA Knight, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes.
