Last year saw theintegration of WWE and UFC into the TKO umbrella, marking a significant shift in the landscape of sports entertainment. While there are certainly UFC stars who want to join WWE, it appears even Gold medal boxer Delicious Orie is open to pursuing a career in WWE.

Delicious Orie, a gold medal boxer and 2024 Paris Olympian, attended the NXT event on September 24 and shared his experience on Instagram. Obviously, some fans were surprised to see him there as well.

Delicious Orie later spoke with Daily Star about how the opportunity came through WWEs recruitment program. Orie initially thought the message from WWE Recruit was fake, but after consulting with his manager, he realized it was genuine.

Orie, who grew up watching wrestling after moving to the UK, fondly recalled watching stars like John Cena, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels, even imitating their moves with friends. Meeting Shawn Michaels and Booker T at the NXT event was a surreal experience for him, as they are legends he admired.

However, he acknowledges that wrestling could elevate his profile and help him achieve his goal of becoming a global star.

Even the likes of UFC star Paddy Pimblett are open to joining WWE one day. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether Delicious Orie will end up stepping foot inside a WWE ring and becoming a WWE Superstar.
