The Mr. McMahon Netflix docuseries had a lot of fans wondering what would be revealed. In the end, those fans who already knew the McMahon story may have been left feeling a bit underwhelmed, but the fact is that Vince McMahon isnt that reliable of a narrator when talking about his own life. After all, McMahon needed to be reminded about many things that happened during his own life.
The six-part docuseries covered the career of the former owner and chairman of WWE. The series included interviews with Vince McMahon, where he discussed various topics up until 2022. He also had lapses in his memory, like pertaining to Sables lawsuit against his company. He also asserted that nobody can understand his thought process.
In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, Mr. McMahon producer Matt Maxson reflected on his experience working with Vince. He noted that McMahon seemed to be more willing to share when the filmmakers displayed enthusiasm. He also remarked on McMahons nature as an unreliable narrator, which added depth to the project.
Netflix has a lot of pro wrestling fans binge-watching the Mr. McMahon docuseries, and they learned a lot in the process. That being said, Vince McMahons interview may not provide the tell-all story that some were hoping for due to his selective memory.
