The pro wrestling world is always in a state of shifting to the next phrase. WWEs new television deals are certainly getting a lot of attention, especially since FOX seems to be wide open for a new pro wrestling show after SmackDown exited for the USA Network.

After WWE left FOX, Swerve Stickland let something slip that he shouldnt have. He remarked that AEW is going to take FOX now, and that was not intentional.

In aconversation with music artist and influencer QueenzFlip, Strickland talked about AEWs presence on major networks like TNT and TBS. He also mentioned that AEW might be moving to FOX, while making it very clear that AEW is going to take the network that WWE just left.

During his Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp noted that Swerve Strickland wishes that he could take that comment back. In fact, he didnt even know a phone was around to document that interaction.

In case youre wondering, the ongoing televisiontalks between AEW and Warner Bros Discoverycould also see thosepay-per-views on MAX. After all, BR Live just sent out a notice to all subscribers who had purchased an AEW event in the past.

Only time will tell what direction they go, because there are a lot of possibilities at play. At this time, while the deal isnt closed and theirexclusive rights windowhas expired, talksare still amicable.
