WWEs NXT brand is about to make their long-awaited debut on The CW for their October 1 episode tonight. That is generating a lot of buzz, but WWE has been on the channel before. WWE SmackDown aired on The CW from September 22, 2006, to September 26, 2008. One man who was around for that show will also be on hand for this weeks NXT.

Matt Bloom is currently the Head Trainer at the WWE Performance Center, and hes a very busy man. That doesnt give him a lot of time to do promotional activities or posting on social media. He broke that trend of staying silent today before NXTs CW debut.

Bloom also wrestled in the ring as Albert, a character that still lives on in WWE history. Naturally, he will be on hand for tonights show as he sees the Superstars of tomorrow walk down a road he has also travelled.

As NXT prepares for their big CW debut, Matt Bloom remembers a time when he got to wrestle on that channel so many years ago. He tweeted out a graphic of himself on SmackDown decades ago, along with a caption that summed up the excitement that everyone has for tonight.

Roxanne Perez vs Giulia could also see a huge development as the black and gold brand starts their time on The CW.

NXT is set to take over the Allstate Arena in Chicago tonight. It is a very popular event in town on a Tuesday night, but some tickets are still available on Ticketmaster.
