Ethan Page had been the NXT Champion for quite a while after essentially lucking out on the win. However, Page couldnt replicate his success on NXT this week as he lost the title and he has now claimed that CM Punk has ruined his life.
On the October 1st episode of WWE NXT, Ethan Page defended his NXT Championship against Trick Williams, with CM Punk acting as the special referee. Near the end of the match, Ethan Page hit Trick Williams with a GTS, but it only resulted in a two-count. Page was clearly frustrated, and CM Punk added to it by putting two fingers right in Pages face.
The Second City Saint eventually got involved and Williams would ultimately become the new champion. After the match, CM Punk hit Ethan Page with his GTS finisher as the show ended.
Later, Ethan Page posted on Twitter, sharing a picture of his daughter holding the championship belt. He then talked about CM Punk, saying that while people know Punk for causing problems in locker rooms, he didnt expect him to ruin his life as well.
We will have to wait and see whether CM Punk and Ethan Page will end up feuding somewhere down the line, as it has become abundantly clear WWE has something special planned for them.
