TheOctober 1 edition ofNXTmarked a massive debut as the show aired on the CW Network for the first time, andthere were lots of things to keep fans engaged throughout. With that said, it appears the CW Network censored fan chants during the show.

This weeks episode featuredCora Jade making her shocking return to help Roxanne Perezretain her NXT Womens Championship against Giulia,Trick Williams winning the NXT Championship after defeating Ethan Pageand more moments.

The show took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, where the crowd erupted with Holy sh*t chants. However, these chants were censored during the broadcast on The CW. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the decision to bleep out the chants was made by The CW, possibly due to the networks status as a broadcast channel, which may have stricter content regulations.

WWE also faced censorship challenges while airing Friday Night SmackDown on Fox, another major broadcast network. Crowd chants were often silenced, and wrestlers curse words were frequently bleeped out. This led to frustration within WWE, especially during the summer of 2024, when these issues became more frequent and disruptive to the shows presentation.
