AEW and Warner Bros Discovery have been good partners since Tony Khans pro wrestling company opened their doors. Now we know that they will continue their time with WBD.
It was previously reported that AEWs preparations for their next television deal were underway. Now we know that a new deal has been agreed by the two sides.
AEW has officially signed a new multi-year media rights deal with Warner Brothers Discovery, as reported by Variety. The article detailed that the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but sources indicate it is valued at over $150 million per year when all elements are considered.
Under this agreement, AEW shows Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on TBS and TNT, respectively. For the first time since its launch in 2019, AEW programming will also stream live on Max simultaneously for U.S. subscribers and will be available for on-demand streaming starting in January 2025. As we previously reported, Ramage is not a part of this deal.
AEW President Tony Khan provided a statement to the outlet, expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership. He is honored to continue this partnership with AEW and WBD.
It was previously reported that the ongoing televisiontalks between AEW and Warner Bros Discoverycould also see thosepay-per-views on MAX. There were a lot of possibilities at play. We do know that theirexclusive rights windowexpired, and talkswere still amicable leading up to the announcement.
AEW will also get a show on FOX with their upcoming Shockwave show. We will have to see what the future holds for AEW, but there will be no shortage of pro wrestling action.
