Jey Uso began his singles run last year after leaving SmackDown and moving to RAW, where he introduced his yeet catchphrase. However, there was a brief trademark dispute over the use of yeet, which temporarily halted its use. The issue was resolved shortly after, and it turns out an AEW star played a key role in helping WWE secure the trademark, allowing Jey Uso to continue using the phrase.

In December 2023, WWE was planning to remove the yeet from Jey Usos character after discovering that independent wrestler Kassey Huffman had trademarked the term in 2021. This resulted in WWE pulling Usos signature yeet merchandise from their online store. However, just a few days later the shirt returned, and Uso continued using yeet in his gimmick.

While speaking to Gabby LaSpisa of the Gabby AF podcast for a new interview, QT Marshall revealed that he played a role in resolving the situation. He mentioned that he contacted Cody Rhodes after noticing the merchandises removal and informed him that he knew the person who owned the trademark. Marshall helped connect them, which ultimately allowed Jey Uso to continue using yeet and have the merchandise back online.

It is clear that QT Marshall really helped Jey Uso out in a big way, as his yeet movement proved to be a huge success, leading him to becoming the current Intercontinental Champion. Therefore, its evident that Jey Uso will always be grateful to QT Marshall for his help no matter what.
