The October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown took place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. With the Bad Blood event scheduled for October 5, the show had several important matches, including a championship bout. This week, fans witnessed a Dumpster Match featuring The O.C.s Michin against Chelsea Green.

This match was a long time coming, and Chelsea Green received praise for her work in the vignettes leading to the messy showdown. Piper Niven also complicated things last week by attacking Michin backstage.

The competitors started off with a fierce battle, and it didnt take long for a table and a baking tray to be introduced as weapons. Michin unleashed a flurry of offensive moves on Chelsea Green, but she struggled to get Green into the dumpster as Green fought back.

The action continued through a commercial break, and while they teased a dumpster spot, it did not happen. Green eventually nailed a Canadian Destroyer on Michin and attempted to throw her into the dumpster, but Michin stopped her from closing the lid. Michin then hit Green with a trash bag before they moved the fight inside the ring.

The Nashville crowd began chanting for a table, and Michin responded with an Eat Defeat before placing Green in a garbage can and performing a senton off the middle rope to crush the can around her. Michin then went outside and placed a table across the dumpster, but Piper Niven blindsided her while wearing a full sanitation worker uniform.

Michin dodged Nivens attack, causing her to miss a hip attack on the dumpster to take Piper out, and then Green struck Michin before she could enter the ring. The two fought for position over the dumpster, leading to Michin powerbombing Green through the table and into the dumpster. The spot drew a holy sh*t chant from the fans. Michin then closed the dumpster on Chelsea Green, securing the victory.

The use of dumpsters in matches, while unconventional, has a notable history in WWE. One early example went down on Monday Night Raw decades ago when the New Age Outlaws pushed a dumpster containing Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie off the stage. It is safe to say that fans will likely be discussing this match for a long time to come.
