WWE Hall of Famer JBL, known for his time as a long-standing color commentator after his in-ring career, recently revealed that he has no interest in returning to the WWE broadcast team.

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, JBL addressed whether he would ever consider making a comeback to the commentary desk. His response was clear: the current talent at WWEs commentary table is more than capable, and theres no need for him to step back into that role.

Yeah, of course, but theres not a spot, and these guys do great jobs. So Im not looking for a job. I dont want that repeated, but these guys do great jobs. You have great commentators right now. Joe Tessitore is doing a great job, hes a play-by-play, but you have Corey Graves, Wade Barrett. These guys do an incredible job.

JBL explained. Its not like theres a spot open for me, I enjoy listening to them. I have no desire to be back out there, and since there isnt a job open, theres no reason to even think about it.

JBL served as a full-time commentator from 2012 to 2017, working on both WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown before stepping away to focus on his humanitarian work outside of WWE. While he continues to make appearances in other promotions such as MLW, GCW, and AAA, JBL has made it clear that his time at the WWE commentary desk is over, putting to rest any speculation about a return.

Though JBL may no longer have a desire to return to full-time commentary, he remains an active presence in the wrestling world, showing that hes far from finished with the industry he loves.

What do you think about JBLs decision to stay away from the commentary desk? Do you miss his presence on Raw or Smack Down? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
