Pro wrestling is an art, but it is also a brutal one. WWE Bad Blood 2024 kicked off with a bloody Hell in a Cell match, leaving the mat stained with the blood of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre before everything was said and done. McIntyre received a significant gash on his head during the match.
During their unforgiving encounter at Atlantas State Farm Arena, CM Punk struck Drew McIntyre with a wrench, causing a severe cut that left the Scottish Warrior bleeding profusely. That shot caused McIntyre to get 16 stitches, and the video of him getting fixed up was full of profanities, and then it was put into private status. It was later reported that McIntyre was banged up after the match.
CM Punk famously stated that Ryback took years off his career, referencing their previous clashes, including a Hell in a Cell match years ago. The Big Guy was closely watching Punks performance at Bad Blood.
Ryback fired off a tweet in response to a graphic of Drew McIntyres Bad Blood 2024 head wound. He threw shade at Punk for being reckless and dangerous to work with, two things that Punk said about Ryback in the past.
Both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will be nursing their wounds after Bad Blood, having left everything in the ring. Only time will tell if they will meet again, as it appeared they were closing this chapter at Bad Blood. Triple H emphasized that should be the purpose of a Hell in a Cell match.
