The Spanish tennis player also passed the third round in the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai, beating the home player Yibing Wu 7-6 6-3 in just over an hour and a half of play.

"Honestly I feel a little bit of pain in some part of my body, but that's normal for a tennis player, we have to deal with it and get used to it. I feel great. We both have a different style to be on the court. For me the last two matches were not very hard physically. I'm really happy to have a day off to recover, to train a little and take it easy. I'll be ready for the next round."
Regarding the match won, the young Spaniard said: "I didn't feel the pressure, what happened was that Wu didn't let me play as aggressively as I'm used to. He hit harder than me and deeper, I had to focus on the exchange as much as possible. All credit to him, because he played really well. There was only one break in the whole match and the first set was very close to winning it. I knew Wu was a very difficult opponent, his level didn't surprise me at all."
