AEW is proving its strength in the wrestling world with a huge new deal. After months of rumors, AEW has signed a multi-year media rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, worth $555 million over three years. Chris Jericho commented on the deal, saying it made many so-called experts who doubted AEW look foolish.
The lucrative new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, set to generate $180 million in 2025, $185 million in 2026, and $190 million in 2027. There is also an option for Warner Bros. Discovery to renew the contract for 2028, potentially increasing the payout.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Chris Jericho talked about AEWs new TV deal and the companys success. He said some so-called experts doubted AEW, but the $185 million per year deal with Warner Brothers Discovery proved them all wrong and made them look like idiots instead.
Jericho acknowledged that WWE is still the biggest wrestling company, but AEW has done amazing things in just five years, which is rare. He also mentioned that Tony Khan will continue leading AEW, and the company has a bright future. Jericho believes this growth is great for both the wrestling business and its fans.
