Luchasaurus (aka Killswitch) is currently facing complications from a severe case of pneumonia in both lungs, leaving his in-ring return uncertain. His condition worsened after he collapsed at home in late September, and it was revealed that his blood oxygen levels had dropped dangerously below 80%. Initial optimism about his recovery has shifted as new concerns have emerged.

During a Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Dave Meltzer initially reported that Luchasaurus was expected to return to the gym on Monday, stating, I heard he was supposed to be back in the gym on Monday. So unless there was some turnaround, I think hes getting better.

However, this report was later corrected by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, who explained that Luchasaurus had suffered setbacks in his recovery. Alvarez provided a more cautious update, explaining that Luchasaurus condition was more serious than previously thought.

Alvarez also elaborated on the complications Luchasaurus was facing, mentioning potential permanent damage.

Alvarez concluded with a sobering thought, adding that while its not certain this is a career-ending situation, the potential for that is still there. I dont want to say its a career-ending issue, but it could be a career-ending issue.

Luchasaurus remains on oxygen and is unable to train due to the high risk of relapse. The AEW stars future remains uncertain as doctors continue to monitor his condition.
