Jonathan Coachman has been away from the company for several years. That being said, he has now set the record straight on potentially returning to WWE somewhere down the line.

Jonathan Coachman made his WWE debut in 1999 as an interviewer, commentator, and presenter. In 2003, he transitioned into an authority figure role. After leaving WWE in 2008, he made a comeback in January 2018 as a commentator for Raw. However, he was replaced in September of that same year and has not been seen in WWE since.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Jonathan Coachman was asked if he has any interest in returning to WWE. Coachman noted that he is not interested in going back to WWE, and he explained why. He mentioned that people mistakenly think he wants to return. If Triple H called him, he wouldnt hurry back just because he feels that way. While he is open to conversations, he clearly states that he does not want to go back to WWE.

Looking back, Coachman talked about the criticism he received in 2018 when he returned after working at ESPN and noted the mistakes he made during his run. Coachman listened to Vince McMahon, which he now thinks was a mistake. Vince McMahon wanted him to keep the credibility he had as a journalist at ESPN instead of fully embracing his character, Heel Coach.

Coachman believes that Heel Coach was the best version of himself, and he has recently started sharing that character again on social media, which he enjoys. This has helped him confirm that he does not want to return to WWE.

Jonathan Coachman is currently pursuing his own projects and appears to have no interest in returning to WWE. Many fans likely respect his choice, especially since the WWE landscape has changed significantly since his time with the company, making his return less necessary.

Do you believe Jonathan Coachman would have any place in WWE even if he did return? Let us know in the comments below.
