These matches wont be about defending their current titles, but about battling for the brand-new Crown Jewel Championships, designed to showcase the best of the year.
Interestingly, reports indicate that these Crown Jewel Championships will be exclusive to Saudi Arabia. According to a discussion on WrestleVotes Radio, the titles wont be regular fixtures on WWE television. Instead, they will function similarly to past special titles like the Greatest Royal Rumble title won by Braun Strowman in 2018, which was celebrated at the event but never seen or defended afterward. These new championships appear to be a way of honoring WWEs partnership with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, ensuring unique moments for the Saudi audience.
